About Carolina Wood Duck Conservation
Protecting an Icon
Carolina Wood Duck Conservation was created around a shared appreciation for one of South Carolina’s most remarkable native waterfowl species—and a commitment to helping protect the natural habitats that allow Wood Ducks to thrive.
By bringing together conservation-minded individuals, supporters, partners and communities, we aim to build greater awareness and support for the wetlands, forests and nesting habitats that are essential to the Wood Duck’s future.
Our Mission:Â
Conservation That Protects More Than a Bird
Our mission is to support the conservation of the Carolina Wood Ducks and the natural environments they depend upon.

Through education, fundraising, partnerships and conservation-focused initiatives, we seek to strengthen efforts that protect healthy wetlands, preserve critical habitat and encourage responsible stewardship of our natural resources.

Because when we protect Wood Duck habitat, we help protect an entire ecosystem.
Our Vision:
A Future Where Wood Ducks Continue to Thrive
We envision a world where healthy wetlands and waterways continue to provide abundant habitat for Wood Ducks and countless other species for generations to come.
Our vision is to help cultivate a lasting culture of conservation—one that connects people with the outdoors, inspires stewardship and ensures that the beauty of the Wood Duck remains part of America’s natural heritage.
Our Conservation Focus:
Protecting Habitat. Building Partnerships. Inspiring Stewardship.
Our conservation efforts focus on protecting the wetlands and nesting habitats Wood Ducks depend on, increasing awareness of responsible conservation, and partnering with nonprofits and conservation organizations that share our commitment to protecting their wildlife and natural resources.
